Police register cases against DMK functionaries

Puducherry, Jan 3 (UNI) Police today registered cases against DMK Cassicade Constituency Secretary Kumara Subramani and 15 others for ransacking the chamber of Municipal Chairperson Dr Sreedevi.

Cases under section 143, 448, 427 and 507 IPC of were registered against them.

It may be noted that the DMK leader along with his followers had entered the chamber and ransacked the office.

Dr Sreedevi, who initially ignored the incident, preferred a police complaint when she received a life threat on December 31 night.

Efforts were on to trace the anoymous caller, police said.
