New Delhi, Jan 3 (UNI) Utility vehicle major Mahindra and Mahindra (M&M) today said it has hiked the prices of all its models in the range of Rs 1,000 to Rs 10,000.
''We have increased the prices across all models, except Logan, from January 1. The price hike has been necessitated due to increasing raw material prices,'' a company spokesperson told reporters here at the launch of special edition of Bolero.
This special edition will cost Rs 5.98 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi). Only 1,000 units will be available in the country, starting from this month.
Earlier, M&M and Tata Motors had said they would not hike prices of car models in January 2008.
The company's vehicle sales in December rose one per cent to 15,316 units from 15,134 units sold in the corresponding period a year ago.
Its domestic sales, including utility vehicles, light commercial vehicles and three-wheelers, fell two per cent to 14,267 units from 14,559 units a year earlier, while, the company exports rose to 1,049 units from 575 units.
