Dr Sanjay Lakhe Patil appointed in charge of media, publicity in mah

Mumbai, Jan 3 (UNI) Maharashtra Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) general secretary Sanjay Lakhe Patil has been appointed in charge of media, publicity and publication department of the state unit.

MPCC president Prabha Rau, in a release here today, said Mr Lakhe Patil would co-ordinate with the media on behalf of the state Congress.

When contacted, Dr Lakhe Patil, who hails from Jalna in Marathwada region, said his job was to co-ordinate with AICC media department head Veerappa Moily.

A national workshop of party spokespersons from all parts of the country has been planned in February, he added.

At present, there were three spokesmen for the state Congress -- Anant Gadgil, Sanjay Nirupam and Hussain Dalwai.
