BSP MP's brother assaulted, robbed of Rs 20,000

Jaunpur, Jan 3 (UNI) Masked marauders thrashed the brother of ruling Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) MP and robbed him of Rs 20,000 in Singramau area here today.

Tariq Khan, the sibling of BSP MP from Sultanpur, Tahir Khan, was waylaid by miscreants at village Mallupur.

The burglars assaulted Khan and flew the coop after snatching his bag containing the cash.

Meanwhile, an FIR had been lodged against five persons and a search for them was on, police said.
