Hideouts busted; grenades, mortar bombs seized in J

Jammu, Jan 1 (UNI) Security forces today busted two militant hideouts in Poonch and Rajouri districts, officials sources said here.

Explosive materials, arms and ammunition were recovered by the Army from the site of the hideouts, official sources told UNI, saying, ''Acting on a tip off, army troops during a cordon and search operation busted a hideout in Darhal area of Rajouri district.'' ''A pistol, two magazines, eight grenades, 100 rounds of AK rifle and two mortar bombs were seized from the site,'' the sources said, adding that one person was also arrested.

Meanwhile, another hideout was busted by the troops in Chandiyal forest belt in Surankote tehsil of Poonch district with 72 rounds of pika ammunition, 10 rounds of AK ammunition and two grenades recovered from their possession, the sources added.
