Haryana Roadways employees to get ex-gratia

Chandigarh, Jan 1 (UNI) The Haryana government has decided to give ex-gratia in lieu of bonus for 2006-07 to all eligible class III and IV employees of the Haryana Roadways.

With this decision, about 17,000 employees of the Haryana Roadways would be benefited, State Transport Minister Mange Ram Gupta said here today.

He said the Finance Department had approved the proposal and it would be a new year gift for the employees of the Haryana Roadways.

Mr Gupta said the ex-gratia in lieu of bonus would be given at the rate of Rs 3250 per year to each eligible employee.

Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda had already provided a number of concessions to the all sections of the society and this step was a goodwill gesture of the government towards the employees of the Haryana Roadways, he added.

He said the Haryana Roadways was committed to providing better transportation facilities to the commuters in the state.
