DGP to study security situation in AP

Kakinada, Andhra Pradesh, Jan 1 (UNI) In view of the increased insurgency activities in the East Godavari District, Director General of Police (DGP) will review the situation in a special meeting to be held at the District Police Office here tomorrow.

Police said DGP S S P Yadav would fly to Rajahmundry tomorrow morning and then reach Kakinada by road around noon.

Much importance us being attached to his visit in the light of a sudden spurt in the Maoist activities in the AOB Area.

Recently, police unearthed huge arms dumps at four places in the interior forest area bordering Visakhapatnam district and at least three important cadres, including Swarnakka alias Manga, had surrendered before the East Godavari SP.
