City Police foil kidnap attempt

Hyderabad, Jan 1 (UNI) The City Police foiled an attempt to kidnap a woman at the posh Banjara Hills Area arresting the kidnappers in the early hours of today.

Police said Constable Ramakrishna noticed four persons dragging a woman into an autorickshaw while patrolling the area.

Alerted by the information, police proceeded towards the Jubilee Hills Checkpost. Noticing them, the abductors left the woman and sped away in the autorickshaw.

However, police chased them for about half a kilometer and took the culprits into custody. They were identified as Mohd Asmail, Basava Raju, Basheer Khan and Mohd Hussain.
