A book by Benazir to be on shelves by next month
London, Jan 1 (UNI) The well-known publisher HarperCollins has just taken delivery of the manuscript for a new book by slain PPP leader Benazir Bhutto prior to her assassination on December 27, 2007.
The publisher had intended to publish the book, entitled ''Reconciliation: Islam, Democracy and the West'', later this year but now it is rushing to get it printed as quickly as possible, which could probably be next month.
The book, part political treatise and part memoir of the first woman Prime Minister of a Muslim country, could appear on shelves in the US at least, as early as next month.
HarperCollins, owned by News Corp (also owner of The Times), is thought to have paid Benazir Bhutto an advance of about 75,000 dollars, immediately before she returned to Pakistan from self-exile on October 18.
