18587 Pilgrims on their way to holy Amarnath cave
Srinagar, July 9: Pilgrimage to holy Amarnath cave resumed from both Baltal and Pahalgam routes this morning following improvement in the weather.
The yatra was suspended yesterday following snowfall near the cave and heavy rains on shortest Baltal and traditional Pahalgam routes, making the track slippery and dangerous.
Official sources said, 18,587 pilgrims who were stranded at different halting points besides two base camps are on their way to the holy cave.
More than 1,000 pilgrims who were stranded at cave shrine are on their way to the base camps.
