HDK criticises Karunanidhi for writing to Centre
Bangalore, July 9: Karnataka Chief Minister H D Kumarswamy today criticised his counterpart Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M Karunanidhi for writing letter to the Centre asking for release of Cauvery water from the state.
Mr Kumarswamy told reporters here, that the writing of such letter to the Centre has created a confusion among the public and also difference of opinion among the farmers of both the states.
He said that he respected Mr Karunanidhi as a seasoned politician and considered him as a father figure in his political life.
Mr Kumarswamy said that it was not correct on the part of Mr Karunanidhi to write the letter as both the states have to depend on the cooperation from Mother nature.
