'Kafeel's involvement in attack becoming clear'
Bangalore, July 9: In its first revelation on involvement of Kafeel Ahmed, the aeronautical engineer from the city who allegedly drove a blazing jeep into Glasgow airport, Karnataka Home Minister M P Prakash today said that there was enough information available with the police that he was indeed the attacker.
"If one looks at the information gathered by the city police, one can believe that Kafeel was indeed the man who was involved in the airport attack. These learned people who embrace the wrong path is worse than street rouges," Mr Prakash said.
Meanwhile, Police Commissioner N Achuta Rao said no arrests had been made in this case so far but the scope of investigation had been widened, bringing in to its ambit the contacts made by Kafeel and his other contacts in the city during his stay before leaving for England in May this year.
Police were studying the contents of high capacity hard disk of the computer recovered from the Kafeel's home in Banashankari II stage.
"We know that media is speculating while reporting on the case but I cannot react on each of such reports. We are investigating and when we have something to show we will tell you," he said ending a barrage of questions from media persons.
