Monica case: Hearing postponed till July 9
Bhopal, July 5: A local court today gave a last and final opportunity to defence to submit proof in a fake passport case, involving underworld don Abu Salem and his starlet-girlfriend Monica Bedi.
Defence Counsel P C Bedi had to present proof today in connection with the case before Chief Judicial Magistrate Ajay Srivastava's court.
However, he submitted an application requesting postponing of hearing in the case, as the witness had to come.
Providing last opportunity to the defence, the court fixed the next date for hearing on July 9.
Monica Bedi did not appear in the court.
On November 28, 2001, a case was registered at the Koh-i-Fiza Police Station against Salem, Samira and Monica for having fake passports made at the regional passport office using the names Danish Baig, Rubina Baig and Fauzia Osman respectively.
