Monica Bedi case hearing to continue
Bhopal, July 2: Chief Judicial Magistrate Ajay Srivastava's court today quashed an application urging postponing of hearing in a fake passports case, involving underworld don Abu Salem and his actress-girlfriend Monica Bedi.
After hearing arguments from both the sides, CJM Srivastava quashed the application court stating that the Supreme Court had directed early disposal of the matter.
The matter would be heard tomorrow. Monica was present in the court today.
On June 30, Defence Counsel P C Bedi had submitted an application before the CJM's court seeking postponing of hearing in the case up to July 10, when hearing related to the same matter would take place in the Supreme Court.
On November 28, 2001, a case was registered at the Koh-i-Fiza Police Station against Salem, Samira and Monica for having fake passports made at the regional passport office using the names Danish Baig, Rubina Baig and Fauzia Osman respectively.
