3 bodies recovered in Mumbai, toll goes up to 17
Mumbai, July 3: Police have recovered three more bodies, including a minor girl, in the metropolis, taking the toll in rain-related incidents to 17.
The bodies were recovered from different parts of the city last evening, police said here today.
The police have identified the deceased as Ramshankar Shukla (28), Ganesh Maruti Kadam (26) and Kajol Vasant Landage (8).
Shukla's body was found floating in a nullah at Kandivali in which he drowned on Saturday. Kadam's body was recovered from a river at MHB Colony in Borivali, while the minor girl's body was retrieved from the Mithi river near Bailbazaar area at Kurla.
Meanwhile, four people were injured when a tree fell on a building public toilet at Vikroli.
All the injured have been admitted to nearby Rajawadi hospital at Ghatkopar, where condition of one of them is stated to be serious, the police added.
