UP: Cong releases fourth list of 66 candidates
New Delhi, Mar 24: The Congress Party today announced the names of 66 candidates for the second to fifth phases of staggered seven-phase polls in Uttar Pradesh in April-May.
This is the fourth list of the Party. The first three lists together had the names of 183 candidates.
With the fourth list being out today, the Congress has so far announced the names of its 249 candidates for the elections to 403-member state Assembly beginning on April seven.
Today's list, cleared by the Central Election Committee of the party last night and released by CWC member Oscar Fernandes, consisted of three candidates for the second phase, 22 candidates for the third phase, 27 for the fourth phase and 14 for the fifth phase.
The candidates for the sixth and seventh phases would be announced later, AICC sources said here.
