RLD general sec joins SP ahead of UP election

to
former
union
minister
Ajit
Singh's
Rashtriya
Lok
Dal
(RLD)
before
the
Uttar
Pradesh
assembly
polls,
its
general
secretary
(GS)
today
joined
the
ruling
Samajwadi
Party
(SP).
SP
supremo
and
Chief
Minister
Mulayam
Singh
Yadav
here
announced
to
make
RLD's
Trilok
Tyagi
his
party's
national
GS.
Others
who
joined
the
SP
include
RLD's
youth
wing
GS
Haroon
Chaudhary
and
secretary
Shiv
Kumar
Tyagi.
Former
Bahujan
Samaj
Party
(BSP)
MP
annd
MLA
Suresh
Pasi
and
Congress'
Banda
district
GS
Seerajdhawaj
also
joined
the
SP
in
the
presence
of
Mr
Yadav.
The
RLD
had
recently
withdrawn
support
from
the
ruling
dispensation
over
sugarcane
pricing.
