Blast convicts' relatives protest against Dutt

Mumbai, Feb 6: Twenty people were arrested today for protesting outside the TADA court here demanding that other convicted serial blasts accused be treated on a par with Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt convicted under the Arms Act but not under TADA.

The protestors included relatives of convicted serial blasts accused and political acitivists of Jan Morcha party. The arrested were taken to the N M Joshi Marg police station, sources said.

Meanwhile, Sanjay Dutt appeared before the court after the extension granted to him expired today.

It may be recalled that the TADA court had convicted 100 blasts accused but the quantum of punishment is yet to be decided as arguments are still on.
