President Abdul Kalam leaves for Chidambaram
Tiruchirapalli, Jan 5: President A P J Abdul Kalam left here for Chidambaram by a special helicopter this morning.
The chopper carrying Dr Kalam left Tiruchirapalli International Airport by 0820 hours.
He was seen off at the airport by district collector Ashish Vachchani, city corporation Mayor Sarubala R Thondaiman and senior police and revenue officials.
After an overnight stay at the government new circuit house, the President left for Chidambaram to address the ongoing 94th session of the Indian Science Congress (ISC) and would inaugurate the Childlren's Science Congress, this morning.
