Minister gheraoed: opposition parties obstruct meeting

Warangal, Andhra Pradesh, Dec 26 (UNI) Demanding the Andhra Pradesh Government to supply uninterrupted nine hour power to agriculture sector, the opposition Telugu Desam Party (TDP), Telangana Rastra Samithi (TRS) and Communist party of India(CPI), CPI(M) leaders and activists today gheraod the state Major irrigation minister P Laxmaiah at Zilla Parishad (ZP) office in this district.

The TRS leaders entered the premises of ZP office and obstructed the meeting, presided over by Mr Laxmaiah. The TDP and CPI(M) ZP members also demanded a discussion on power shortage between the minister and the officials concerned.

Mild tension prevailed at the ZP office when the TRS leaders and activists were arrested while having an argument with the police for denying them entry to the premises.
