Hizbul Mujahideen militant surrenders in Doda

Jammu, Dec 13: A Hizbul Mujahideen (HM) militant surrendered before the security forces at Kishtwar in Doda district of Jammu and Kashmir today, a senior police official said.

HM militant Mohammad Yasin alias Tofail of Pathshalla Tipre, under Kishtwar police station, surrendered along with one magazine, 27 rounds and a large quantity of indiscriminating material, Senior Superintendent of Police (Doda) Manohar Singh told UNI.

''It was the result of motivation and persuasion through meetings with the parents of the militant,'' he added.
