JK: Youth engaged by LeT to hurl grenade held
Jammu, Nov 17: Police today arrested a youth who was deputed by Pakistan-based outfit Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) to lob grenades on civilians and VIPs during Ramzan in Doda district of Jammu and Kashmir.
Official sources said the Doda police arrested Bhashir Ahmed of Koti. During interrogation Bashir revealed that he was deputed by Lashkar-e-Toiba militants to target civilians and some VIPs when they would visit the mosque for namaz in the month of Ramzan.
However, due to heavy deployment of security forces around the mosque Bashir could not succeed, police added.
