93 blasts: TADA Court convicts 3; acquits 2
Mumbai, Oct 17: A designated TADA Court here today convicted three accused, including a close confidant of prime absconding accused, 'Tiger Memon', in the 1993 serial Mumbai bomb blasts case.
The three convicts are Syed Abdul Rehman, a close confidant of Tiger Memon, Manoj Kumar Gupta, and Mohammad Kasim Lajpurya. TADA Judge P D Kode held them guilty of helping Tiger Memon and his associates in the landing of arms and ammunition at Dighi, a coastal area in Maharashtra.
The court, however, acquitted Shakeel Shabuddin Sheikh and Devidas Ghule for lack of sufficient evidence.
