Sensex up 34 pts in opening move
Mumbai, Sep 29: The Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) Sensitive Index (Sensex) today opened 34 points in the green as investors rolled over there position in the Octover derivatives after the successful completion of September derivatives yesterday.
The senex today opened at 12,414.66 points and is currently trading at 12,451.12, which is 70.38 points more than previous close.
The index is ably supported by buying in major stocks of all the sectors on the BSE, exept Bankex, which contrary to yesterday, is down by 0.47 per cent.
Major gainers on the index are Bajaj Auto, Tata Steel, Ranbaxy, NTPC, Grasim and Gujarat Ambuja all up between 1.78 to 2.30 per cent.
Besides, the losers are Hero Honda, ICICI bank, HDFC Bank, Infosys and ONGC all down between 0.23 to 0.90 per cent.
