'Cong conspiring to destabilise Kumaraswamy Govt'
Dehra Dun, Sep 23: Janta Dal (S) chief H D Deve Gowda today charged the Congress with conspiring to destablise the H D Kumaraswami government in Karnataka.
Speaking to mediapersons here, Mr Gowda said, ''The Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee recently submitted a memorandum to Governor T N Chaturvedi demanding that the Kumaraswami-led BJP-JD(S) coalition be dismissed.'' Taking note of the political developments in Jharkhand, Mr Gowda said increasing tendency of defection among legislators was not a very good sign for politics.
''Constitutional amendment is a must to curb this menace,'' he added.
Coming down heavily on its coalition partner, he said BJP was losing public support and it should take a lesson from the Congress.
Later, Mr Gowda urged party workers to commit themselves to strengthen the party.
