PM to visit flood-hit Nanded on August 11
Mumbai, Aug 10: Prime Minister Manmohan Singh will visit the relief camp of flood-affected people in Nanded district of Maharashtra tomorrow and will also hold a meeting with officials, before leaving for Hyderabad.
According to sources, Dr Singh, who will go on a tour of Andhra Pradesh tomorrow to review the flood situation, will arrive at Nanded airport from Hyderabad at 1510 hrs. He will then proceed to visit a relief camp.
Later, he will hold a meeting with concerned officials at Bachat Bhawan, before flying back to Hyderabad at 1620 hrs.
This will be the first visit by a Central leader after heavy floods affected 23 districts of Maharashtra, in which so far 118 people have died, 79 are missing and more than three lakh have been evacuated.
