Manmohan Singh to visit flood-hit AP

Hyderabad, Aug 10: Close on the heels of Congress President Sonia Gandhi's whirlwind tour of Andhra Pradesh, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh will visit the flood-ravaged state tomorrow.

After visiting the flood-hit areas of Maharashtra, Dr Singh would arrive here and hold a review meeting with Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy, his cabinet colleagues and senior officials on the grim flood situation in the state, official sources said.

Union Home Minister Shivraj Patil, who made an aerial survey along with UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi yesterday, had announced Rs 200 crore from the National Calamity Relief Fund to meet immediate relief needs.
