Probe into blasts should not be interrupted: Raj

Nagpur, July 19: Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) president Raj Thackeray today alleged that Pakistan had an hand in serial bomb blasts in Mumbai and said the police should not be interrupted in the task of probing into blasts case.

Addressing a press conference here, Mr Raj Thackeray, who was here to declare the names of Vidarbha unit office bearers of his party, reiterated that the advocates should not standby the accused involved in the Mumbai blasts. ''First of all we have to boost the sagging spirit of the police probing the blast incidents.'' Coming down heavily on the intelligence agencies, he said internal security maintained by corrupt system had to be corrected first. The currupt system always made enough space for terrorists to carry out their destructive activities in which only the innocent people were killed.

Replying to a question, he said his party would fully swing into action in political arena with its programmes immediately after building the party's units throughout Maharashtra.

He said only two persons, Shiv Sena chief Bal Thackeray and NCP president Sharad Pawar, knew better what type of difficulties one had to face in politics especially when a new party was formed.

''I will make my party strong enough before declaring any political strategies,'' he added.
