Rs 25 lk for setting up trauma centre: Cong MP

Mumbai, July 13: Congress MP Rajiv Shukla has contributed Rs 25 lakh from his MP's fund for setting up a trauma centre at V N Desai Hospital in Santacruz.

Mr Shukla handed over the cheque to the hospital after inquiring about the well being of the injured in Tuesday's bomb blasts who are undergoing treatment.

Mr Shukla, who is a Rajya Sabha MP from Maharashtra, said he had assured the hospital that he would arrange for another Rs 75 lakh as he was told that the cost of setting up the trauma centre was Rs one crore.
