Alert commuters nab 4 suspects, several detained
Mumbai, Jul 13: Alert commuters this morning nabbed four suspected persons at Bhayander railway station in neighbouring Thane district and later handed over them to local police.
Thane Rural Control room confirmed that commuters had nabbed four persons at Bhayander station, as they were walking in a suspicious manner. The four people, were carrying a bag which they were planning to keep on the railway station, the sources said and added details are awaited.
Meanwhile, ATS (Anti-Terrorist Squad) has detained more than 200 people from various parts of the city, majority of them from Malvani at Malad in western suburbs, in connection with the serial train blasts on Tuesday, an ATS officer said this morning.
The Malvani locality is dominated by the minor community population mostly migrated from Uttar Pradesh.
However, nobody has been arrested but they have been picked up for questioning, he added.
