Advani visits serial blast victims in Mumbai
Mumbai, Jul 12: Leader of the opposition and senior BJP leader Lal Krishna Advani has arrived in the city to visit the injured in yesterday's serial blasts that rocked the city.
After visiting Bhabha hospital in Bandra and King Edward Memorial (KEM) Hospital, he is expected to address the media at party office in Dadar.
Late last night, United Progressive Alliance (UPA) Chairperson Sonia Gandhi visited the Bhabha and Sion hospitals and inquired about the well-being of the patients, injured in the seven blasts that occurred on the Western Railway (WR) line.
Union Home Minister Shivraj Patil and Railway Minister Lalu Prasad Yadav as well as Maharashtra Chief Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh accompanied Ms Gandhi during her visit.
Earlier, Mr Deshmukh had convened an all-party meeting to discuss measures to tackle the law and order and security situation arising out of the blasts.
