Police question Raji Chandru in Mahajan case
New Delhi, June 23: The police today questioned ten people, including Raji Chandru, the high profile close aide of Chairman of the Apollo chain of hospitals Pratap Reddy, here in connection with the alleged tampering of documents in the Rahul Mahajan drug abuse case.
One of the senior officials associated with the interrogation of staffers of Apollo Hospital, which continued for the second consecutive day today, told UNI that the investigation has reached a crucial stage and revealing any details at this stage would be improper.
However, he added that some critical information had come to the knowledge of police which was sensitive in nature and hence could not be shared.
Yesterday, due to time constraint, of the 20 only 13 lady staffers, including seven doctors, of the Apollo Hospital were questioned by the police team.
Examination of records of the hospital revealed that they were not being maintained properly.
''It could be intentional as well as due to poor administration which raised serious doubts,'' said a senior official of the investigating team yesterday.
