Sensex up by 513 points in intra-noon trade
Mumbai, June 15: Taking cue from the global markets, the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) Sensex rose by 513 points in the intra-noon trade to 9,443.05 points at 1400 hrs today.
Earlier in the morning, the Sensex opened in the green at 9,133.36, as most of the global markets were firm in their performance, led by Nikkei, Dow Jones and NYSE. The Sensex touched a high of 9,443.0-5 and a low of 9,092.16 points.
All the scrips on the Sensex were in green.
The biggest gainers were Grasim Industries up by 9.62 per cent, BHEL by 9.12 per cent, Hero Honda by 9.39 per cent, HDFC by 8.90 per cent, Infosys by 8.40 per cent and HLL by 7.49 per cent.
There were no losers on the Sensex in the afternoon trades.
