I am not a drug user: Rahul Mahajan

New Delhi, Jun 15: Rahul Mahajan, accused in a drug abuse case, today said he never took drugs.

''I not drug dependent or user,'' he told mediapersons at his late father Pramod Mahajan's official residence in Central Delhi, flaked by his lawyers Ramesh Gupta and Surya Prakash Khatri.

I have committed no legal or moral wrong, he added, saying he did not wish to state anything more about the (drug abuse) case that could affect his defence or hamper the investigations.

He, however, had applogised to his uncle (Mr Gopinath Munde), mother (Rekha Mahajan) and sister (Poonam Mahajan) in regard to the incident.

Rahul thanked all those who stood by him and his family, including the BJP especially former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee and party President Rajnath Singh, during the 'sad phase'.

He also thanked his domestic help and staff and doctors at Apollo for saving his life.
