'No poll launch for Rahul but support continues'
New Delhi, June 15: Former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee today said the BJP was with late leader Pramod Mahajan's family but ruled out Rahul Mahajan's entry into the party due to the pending cases against him.
''The priority is that Rahul should emerge successfully from this hour of crisis,'' Mr Vajpayee told newspersons after a party meeting to review the performance of the Chhattisgarh government.
He declined to comment on Pravin Mahajan's charge that drug abuse was taking place at the official residence of Pramod Mahajan since the last six years.
Mr Vajpayee had earlier also expressed sympathy for Rahul, saying young people could go astray because of bad company.
The BJP has distanced itself from the problems faced by Mahajan family following Rahul's involvement in the drug abuse case, saying it was a family issue.
