Bibek Moitra's body brought to Mumbai last night

Mumbai, Jun 4: The body of Bibek Biman Moitra, the personal assistant of late Pramod Mahajan, who died of an apparent drug overdose in New Delhi on Friday, arrived here late last night.

According to BJP sources, the body was received by party workers and was later taken to the mortuary at Vashi hospital.

This morning the body was taken to the residence of his father, Biman Moitra, a retired IPS officer, at Kharghar, a suburb in adjoining Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation.

BJP MLCs Madhu Chavan, Vinod Tawde and a score of BJP workers carried the body from the hospital to the Kharghar residence. It will be taken to Turbhe crematorium for the last rites.
