He said a case had already been instituted and law would take its own course.

Meanwhile, Indian Medical Association president Dr Ajay Kumar said over telephone to UNI that the incident was 'unfortunate' and some anti-socials might have engineered the clash.

He said the students conducted peaceful demonstration but suddenly the pro-reservation students took out a procession, along with sticks, and turned violent indicated involvement of anti-socials in the entire episode.

Dr Kumar, associated with Patna Medical College Hospital(PMCH), said he was familiar with the medical students but all of them were not of medicos.

Reservation Supporters Front president Bhhomipal, Chief General Secretary Subhash Singh Chandravanshi, General Secretary Arvind Nishad and others, who were present in the rally, squarely blamed Additional Director General Of Police Abhayanand and the town DSP Sushant Saroj for the lathi charge and demanded their dismissal.
