'Uma's resignation to be accepted after talks'

Jabalpur, May 4: Madhya Pradesh assembly speaker Ishwardas Rohani today said he would accept the resignation of Ms Uma Bharti, who founded Bharatiya Janshakti following her expulsion from the BJP, after consulting her.

Ms Bharti's resignation, faxed yesterday, had been received, Mr Rohani told UNI, adding he would talk to Ms Bharti before accepting it.

Ms Bharti, who floated her new political outfit at Ujjain on April 30, tendered her resignation from the membership of the Legislative Assembly on ''moral grounds''.

Following her expulsion from BJP in November last year, Ms Bharti, who represents Bada Malehra, was declared an ''unattached member''.
