BJP non-committal on Advani's PM ambition

Raigarh, Apr 9: The Bharatiya Janata Party today remained non-commital on senior party leader L K Advani's reported statement that he wants to become Prime Minister.

''We will decide at an appropriate time as to who will lead the party in the next elections,'' BJP president Rajnath Singh told newsmen here during his ongoing Bharat Suraksha Yatra.

He was replying to a question whether Mr Advani, who had made a statement recently that he don't see anything wrong in wanting to become Prime Minister, would lead the party in the next elections.

Mr Singh said Mr Atal Bihari Vajpayee and Mr Advani were top leaders of the party but the issue of as to who would lead the party in the elections would be decided at an appropriate time.
