Advani's Bharat Suraksha yatra enters Maharashtra

Nandigaon, Maharashtra Gujarat Border, Apr 9: Bharat Suraksha Yatra of senior BJP leader L K Advani today entered Maharashtra at Nandigaon border post.

He was accorded a traditional tribal welcome by the tribals here at the first point of Thane district .

Gujarat BJP chief Nitin Gadkari took over the yatra responsibility from Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi and BJP leader Vajubhaiwala.

Addressing a meeting at the border post, Mr Modi said the response of the people of Gujarat to the 'yatra' was great, with the people of the state welcoming the rally at 300 places and Mr Advani addressing 50 public rallies.

Mr Advani, on his part, thanked the people of Gujarat for giving him a grand welcome wherever he went from Rajkot to Vapi. '' I thank the people of Gujarat for the grand reception. The Prabharis have changed and now I am in the hands of Maharashtra BJP. Mr Modi can go back to Ahmedabad and continue to give good governance to the people of Gujarat,'' he said.
