Congress workers burn Vajpayee, L K Advani in effigy

Amritsar, Mar 24: Congress workers today (Mar 24, 2006) burnt the effigies of former Prime Minister Atal Behari Vajpayee and Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha Lal Krishan Advani in front of the Hall Gate here.

The workers were protesting against the BJP's ''role'' in the resignation of Congress president Sonia Gandhi from the membership of the Lok Sabha and post of chairperson of National Advisory Council (NAC).
