Massive Fire Breaks Out At Visakhapatnam Hospital, Firefighters Rescue Patients Using A Ladder
A massive fire broke out in Indus Hospital in Visakhapatnam's Jagadamba Junction on Thursday. According to the reports, the fire erupted in the hospital's operation theater and was spread to at least 3 floors of the hospital. Soon after being informed, firefighters with the help of police managed to control the situation and douse the fire.
No casualties were reported in the incident as the rescue team brought out doctors, patients, and other staff members from the windows with the help of a ladder.

After the incident, police commissioner A Ravi Shankar told the media that "all patients were evacuated safely." "No injuries have been reported as there was no surgery scheduled at the time when the fire broke out," the commissioner added.
"All 57 patients have been shifted out of the hospital and so have the doctors, nurses, and other staff members who were present at the time. Some of them have ingested smoke and a short circuit or a nitrous oxide leak is suspected to be the cause of the blaze," he said.

The reports suggest that police helped in transferring the patients to the King George Hospital.
The videos of the incident from the hospital show black smoke covering the building of the hospital, which could have suffocated the people present in the building.
