AAP releases manifesto for Varanasi
Varanasi, May 2: When AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal filed his nomination on April 23, he said that 'when I took a dip in the Ganga I realised how dirty it was.' Well, seems that this issue is on the AAP's agenda; cleaning up Ganga.

AAP on Thursday released its manifesto for Varanasi, where it had highlighted two specific points related to Varanasi. One, to get the city the status of 'Holy City' and second, a cleaner river Ganga.

The party said that not only will it take up cleaning of the river Ganga but will also improve the sewage treament in the city.

The party said that the manifesto was drafted after consulting the people of Varanasi and it will focus to the upliftment of the city if it won from here.

The party laid great emphasis on the working communities in the city like the weaver community and the fishermen community.

Varanasi will got o polls on May 12, where a three way- battle is in picture between BJP's prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi, AAP's Arvind Kejriwal and Congress's Ajay Rai.
