Wayanad Lok Sabha Bypoll: Priyanka Gandhi To Face BJP's Navya Haridas
Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Saturday announced Navya Haridas as its candidate to contest against Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi-Vadra in the Wayanad bypoll for the Lok Sabha.
The Election Commission of India (ECI) declared the bypoll date on Tuesday. According to the ECI's announcement, voting will take place on November 13, with the result to be announced on November 23.

The Wayanad seat became vacant after Congress leader and current Leader of the Opposition in Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, was elected from Rae Bareli in Uttar Pradesh and chose to retain that seat, having won in both constituencies.
Following Rahul Gandhi's decision to vacate the seat, Congress nominated his sister, Priyanka Gandhi-Vadra, to stand for election in Wayanad, marking her electoral debut.
Since Priyanka's candidacy was announced, Congress, under Mallikarjun Kharge's leadership, has intensified its campaign efforts, aiming to surpass the margin of Rahul's previous victory.
