Kerala: Court to announce verdict on sensational Paul Muthoot murder case tomorrow

Thiruvananthapuram, Aug 31: The CBI court will announce the verdict on the sensational Paul Muthoot murder case on Tuesday, Sept 1.

Paul Muthoot George, son of prominent Kerala businessman and Muthoot Finance Group chairman M G George, was stabbed to death on August 23, 2009.

The accused list of 19 people includes Kari Satheesh, a professional killer.

According to the investigative team, Paul George was murdered by a gang at a deserted place near Alappuzha town in the wee hours of August 23 .

Paul was travelling with two gangsters - Om Prakash and Puthanpalam Rajesh.

He was attacked and killed by a group of men on a tempo traveller.

Two charge sheets were charged against the quotation gang in Changanassery.

While one was for the murder of Paul George, the other one was for the murder they had planned to execute in Alapuzha.

CBI has made Om Prakash and Rajesh into witnesses-turned-approvers.

Paul George Muthoot, a 33-year-old bachelor during the time of murder was closely associated with the family venture.

Few days before his murder he was arrested from Delhi by the Narcotics Control Bureau on drug-related charges after one of his servants was apprehended with cocaine.

However, he was later discharged in the case by a court.
