Kerala, AP/Tel gets new acting chief justices
New Delhi/Kerala, Aug 3: New acting chief justices have been appointed to the high courts of Andhra Pradesh/Telangana and Kerala.
Justice Ramesh Ranganathan, senior-most judge of the Andhra Pradesh/Telangana High Court has been directed to perform the duties of the office of chief justice after Justice Dilip Babasaheb Bhosale relinquishes charge of acting chief justice following his appointment as Chief Justice of the Allahabad High Court.

Justice Shantanagoudar Mohan Mallikarjunagouda, who was only last week transferred from the Karnataka High Court has been asked to take the charge of acting chief justice of the Kerala High Court. He is the senior-most judge there.
He replaces Justice Thottathil B Radhakrishnan, who was also officiating as the chief justice of that high court. Out of the 24 high courts, six -- Andhra Pradesh/Telangana, Sikkim, Tripura, Manipur, Madhya Pradesh and Kerala -- are functioning with acting chief justices.
