KEAM Rank List 2025: Check Top Scorers and Other Details

John Shinoj from Muvattupuzha, Ernakulam district, has emerged as the top scorer in the engineering stream of the Kerala Engineering Architecture Medical (KEAM) entrance test 2025. Anakha Anil from Pathiyoor, Alappuzha, secured the first position in the pharmacy stream. The results were announced by Higher Education Minister R. Bindu on July 1, 2025.

The KEAM examination for both engineering and pharmacy courses took place between April 23 and April 29. In the engineering stream, Hari Kishan Baiju from Cherai, Ernakulam, secured the second rank, while B.N. Akshay Biju from Kakkur, Kozhikode, achieved third place. For pharmacy, Hrishikesh R. Shenoy from Arpookkara, Kottayam, and Fathimathu Zahra from Kunnakkavu, Malappuram, secured second and third ranks respectively.

Engineering Stream Achievements

B.R. Dhiya Roopya from Perumpuzha in Kollam is the highest-ranking female candidate in engineering at ninth place. Among Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes categories, Hridin S. Biju from Nileshwaram in Kasaragod and K.S. Sabarinath from Manarcaud in Kottayam scored highest respectively.

Minister Bindu highlighted that out of 86,549 candidates who appeared for the engineering entrance test, 76,230 qualified. A rank list was created for 67,505 applicants who provided their marks details. In contrast, for the BPharm entrance test with 33,425 participants, 27,841 made it to the rank list.

Normalisation Process Implementation

This year marked a change with a new normalisation process applied to prepare the engineering rank list. This adjustment aimed to create fairness for State syllabus students who previously felt disadvantaged compared to those from CBSE and ICSE backgrounds.

The concern was that students following the State syllabus lost about 15 to 20 marks when KEAM scores were combined with higher secondary marks in key subjects like Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. Notably this year’s top engineering rank holder is from a State syllabus school.

Rank Distribution Insights

Amongst the top ten ranks in engineering five students each came from State syllabus and CBSE backgrounds. Of those under State syllabus schools totaling 47,175 applicants only 43 made it into top hundred ranks whereas out of 18,284 CBSE students fifty-five achieved this feat.

The admission process for BTech courses is set to conclude by August 14 according to guidelines by All-India Council for Technical Education ensuring adherence to academic calendar requirements.
