Bangalore techie raped in Kerala backwater resort

Thiruvananthapuram, Dec 2: A software engineer, who works with an IT company in Bangalore, has been

. The 40-year-old woman lodged a complaint with Kerala Police on Nov 28.

The woman accused two people of sexually assaulting her. Two suspects have been yet to be arrested by the cops. The woman had come to the star category resort with a group of colleagues as part of an official trip. The victim, in her complaint, said that two unidentified men had raped her inside her room in the resort.

The two men reportedly had barged into her room around 2:30 am. While one of them restrained her, the other man raped her, the victim said in her complaint.

The woman has returned to her home in Bangalore. According to forensic lab, which is investigating the case, all evidence collected from the room had been sent for analysis.

Meanwhile, police informed that phone call details of the guests at the resort at the time of the crime and the staff members were being verified. The resort is under surveillance and the staff members had been questioned.
