Karnataka Election 2023 Live Updates: Voting for 224 Assembly seats to begin at 7 am

The single-phase election for 224 Assembly seats in Karnataka will be held on Wednesday, May 10.

5,31,33,054 registered voters will decide the fate of 2,613 candidates. This time, there are 2,427 male candidates, 184 female and 2 others.

Among the contesting candidates from recognised political parties, 224 were from BJP, 223 from Congress (supporting Sarvodaya Karnataka Party in Melukote), 207 from JD(S), 209 from AAP, 133 from BSP , 4 from CPI(M), 8 from JD(U) and 2 from NPP. While 685 are from Registered Unrecognised Political Parties (RUPP), 918 were independents.
