Apple has launched the iPhone 16 series in India, featuring four new models with a starting price of Rs 79,900.

Apple has introduced the iPhone 16 series in India, featuring the iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro, and iPhone 16 Pro Plus. The starting price for these models is Rs 79,900.

Following this launch, Apple has reduced the prices of its older iPhone models by up to Rs 10,000.

The new prices are now effective at all authorised Apple resellers in India. This includes the Apple Store Online, physical Apple Store locations, and partner retail outlets. Additionally, buyers can expect further discounts on platforms like Flipkart, Vijay Sales, and Amazon during the upcoming festive sales.

Apple iPhone 15 Series Price Cut

The iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus are now available at a Rs 10,000 discount on Apple's website. The revised prices are Rs 79,900 for the iPhone 15 and Rs 89,900 for the iPhone 15 Plus. Similarly, the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus have also seen a price reduction of Rs 10,000 each. They are now listed at Rs 59,900 and Rs 69,900 respectively.

Flipkart's Big Billion Days sale will commence on September 30. Amazon's Great Indian Festival sale is also expected to start around the same time. These sales events will offer additional discounts on various iPhone models.

Apple iPhone 16 Series India Price

The pricing for the new iPhone 16 series remains consistent with previous models. The base model of the iPhone 16 with 128GB storage starts at Rs 79,990. The iPhone 16 Plus begins at Rs 89,990.

The higher-end models see a notable price adjustment in India. The iPhone 16 Pro (128GB) is priced at Rs 1,19,900. Meanwhile, the iPhone 16 Pro Max (256GB) costs Rs 1,44,900. This marks a decrease from last year's prices for similar models in the previous series.

The international prices for the Pro series remain unchanged; this price cut is specific to the Indian market.

Key Features of the New Series

The new series introduces several upgrades. The Pro models come with a larger LTPO OLED display—6.3 inches for the Pro and 6.9 inches for the Pro Max—with a smoother refresh rate of up to 120Hz.

Powered by Apple's A18 Bionic chip, these phones promise enhanced performance and efficiency. Camera improvements include a main sensor of 48MP with better low-light capabilities and a periscope zoom lens exclusive to the Pro Max model.

A titanium frame enhances durability while battery life sees improvements across all models. All devices support fast charging and feature USB-C ports instead of Lightning connectors.

This launch comes just before major festive sales in India where additional discounts can be expected on these new models as well as older ones.
